Dried Chanterelle

The official mushroom of Oregon—a state known for its wild mushrooms—the Chanterelle has a fruity smell and peppery taste with a hint of apricot. Dubbed the Queen of the Forest, the Chanterelle is firm and meaty, yet tender and succulent. We search the world for the finest Chanterelles, picking out only the best in Europe, Alaska and here in Mt. Shasta. We sun-dry them to retain their flavor and color, and you can reconstitute them in wine or lukewarm, lightly salted water.
